Start Spreading the News! Membership dues are critically important to the financial well-being of our shelter. We care for over 2500 abandoned dogs and cats each year. Providing these animals with adequate food, medical care, and shelter is costly. Consider that we use over 28,000 lbs of dog food and 31,000 lbs of kitty litter each year. Our “bare bones” budget is over $200,000, of which 80% must be generated through donations and fundraising.
